My stay at the Intercontinental Wien was quite enjoyable, with the highlights being the excellent location and attentive staff. However, I did find the decor somewhat dated, and the room could use some updating.

Rooms
7.0
The room had a comfortable bed and provided stunning views of the skating rink. but the decor felt outdated and the bathroom lacked modernity.
Service
9.0
The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful, ensuring I felt at home during my visit. they provided great advice for exploring the city and made excellent restaurant reservations.
Location
10.0
The hotel’s location is fantastic, with the U-Bahn station right across the street. making it easy to access many of Vienna's main attractions on foot.
Dining
8.0
I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was one of the best I've had in Europe. though I found the dinner options a bit overpriced compared to local dining.
Facilities
7.0
While the hotel had nice amenities, I noticed the heating system in my room was a bit noisy. and, although the sauna was pleasant, I felt the facilities were showing their age.

5.6/10

I had a generally pleasant stay at the Intercontinental Wien, which exuded a certain charm despite needing some modernization. The location was fantastic, a short walk to the city center and conveniently close to a U-Bahn station. However, I found the soundproofing in the room lacking, and the lack of USB sockets was noticeable. The breakfast buffet truly stood out, offering a great variety and quality of options.

Rooms
7.0
The room I had was spacious and clean, with some nice amenities. However, soundproofing from the street could definitely be improved, and it lacked USB ports, which would have been a helpful upgrade.
Service
6.0
I appreciated the friendly staff who provided a warm welcome at the front desk. However, I felt that the attentiveness didn't match the expectations I had for a 5-star hotel, especially regarding room service that could be quicker.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was excellent, situated just across from a U-Bahn station and a lovely park. This made it incredibly convenient for exploring Vienna, as I could easily reach many attractions within minutes.
Dining
8.0
The breakfast buffet was a highlight for me, with an impressive variety and quality that exceeded my expectations. However, I did encounter some challenges with the dining service on a few occasions, like delays in getting seated due to high occupancy.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered a range of facilities, but there was definitely a feeling that some areas were outdated. The wellness area had an early closing time, which was inconvenient, and I found the decor in common areas a bit old-fashioned.

7.2/10

My stay at the Intercontinental Wien was quite a mix. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the town center and right by the Stadtpark metro station. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, especially when I needed assistance with concert tickets. However, I found the hotel quite dated, like stepping back into the 1980s, and the room had some issues with the door malfunctioning. Overall, it offers great potential but could use significant updates.

Rooms
6.0
While my room was spacious and clean, it was reminiscent of past decades. Some modern touches like USB ports would have been appreciated. The low ceilings did feel a bit oppressive.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and attentive. They helped out with arrangements and were courteous, though I encountered some hiccups at check-in. Some staff seemed unfamiliar with certain processes.
Location
9.0
This hotel’s location is truly a gem. Being near public transport and within walking distance to many attractions made exploring the city easy and enjoyable.
Dining
7.0
I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which was vast and well-presented. However, I felt the lounge offerings for club members could have been more lavish compared to the main restaurant.
Facilities
7.0
The common areas exude charm and elegance, though the rooms themselves could use some modernization. The bar had a great atmosphere, and the gym was well-equipped.

My stay at Intercontinental Wien was mostly positive. The location was excellent for sightseeing, and the breakfast buffet was impressive. However, the room I stayed in felt a bit dated and the air conditioning was noisy. Overall, it was a good experience, but there are areas that could use some improvement.

My stay at Intercontinental Wien was marked by a beautiful hotel atmosphere but marred by some frustrating issues. While the location is fantastic, making it easy to explore the city, I did experience some problems with the room comfort and amenities. The bathroom was smaller than I expected, and there were some concerns about cleanliness, which detracted from the overall experience.

Rooms
6.0
The room had a lovely design, but it was smaller and not as well-maintained as I had hoped. The carpet in my room was stained, and while the bed was comfortable, I struggled with the pillows.
Service
7.0
The staff was friendly and always willing to help. However, there were moments where the service, especially at the reception, felt a bit abrupt, which was surprising for a well-known brand.
Location

The hotel's location is superb, right near Stadtpark and a short walk from the city center, making it convenient for sightseeing and dining.
Dining

I didn't dine in the hotel, but I did enjoy some cocktails at the bar. The cocktails were great, and the ambiance was lovely for a relaxing evening.
Facilities
